2019 Regional Artist in Residence Justin Roberts is a Kentucky Crafted Artist from Murray, specializing in the rare folk art of bent-wood willow furniture and creator of Sounds of a Whippoorwill – Bernheim located on the backside of Lake Nevin. Justin returns to Bernheim to educate about the history, uses and process of the craft through this engaging workshop where you leave with your own willow chair! Bring a hammer, hand pruners, and work gloves. No experience is necessary.

*The amount of time to complete a chair varies based on the participant, whom can leave whenever their project is completed.

Registration includes all materials to build the chair. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks/lunch or enjoy the seasonal menu at Isaac’s Café. Meet at the Visitor Center.

 

 

Bernheim members $325; non-members $350.
