Bernheim needs you to THINK BIG

By Amy Joseph Landon

A forest as old as Bernheim depends on supporters like you to help us continue to fulfill our mission to connect people with nature! Our THINK BIG campaign runs through December 31, just in time to give back during the holiday season!

When Isaac Wolfe Bernheim established the I. W. Bernheim Foundation in 1929, he had a BIG vision: to create a place for the people of Kentucky that would further their love of nature, art, and culture; that could be used for educational purposes, regardless of race, creed or economic status. A place that was filled with lush trees, vibrant wildlife sanctuaries, and splendid wildflowers that overflowed into meadows.

Today, we are proud to say that our founder’s vision has become a reality. With over 16,000 acres, Bernheim is the largest privately held forest in the eastern United States dedicated to conservation and education. Our critical accomplishments didn’t happen overnight; we have had to THINK BIG for 90 years in order to achieve realize Isaac Bernheim’s vision. We continuously strive to be a leader in ecological stewardship, by providing critical habitats for endangered species, we engage over 10,000 children annually in hands-on nature-base education, creating the next generation of environmentalists, and so much more!

In order to carry out Mr. Bernheim’s wishes, ensuring future generations can connect with nature, we need you to THINK BIG too! Bernheim is donor and member supported and we rely on you to help support all we do!

We hope that you will THINK BIG, and donate today!
