AIRat40: Meet 1985 Artist in Residence Clinton Smith

Probably one of the biggest surprises of this 40th anniversary in 2020 was getting a call from 1985 Artist in Residence and photographer Clinton Smith, as he was passing through the area. Smith was an Artist in Residence during the early years of the program and he captured the Bernheim landscape as images soaked in beautiful light, color, and of perfect composition. Clinton Smith was kind enough to let me interview him and learn more about his time as a Bernheim Artist in Residence. He considers this experience a formative time professionally as well as a national recognition of honor.
