Climb Bernheim’s Historical Fire Tower & Admire Fall’s Beauty

October 13, 2017 by Wren Smith

Climb Bernheim’s Historical Fire Tower & Admire Fall’s Beauty

There is no better time of year to experience Bernheim from atop our oldest structure, the historic fire tower. Throughout the fall, visitors are invited to climb 961 feet up the flights of stairs for one of the best views of the fall foliage in the state.

Led by a volunteer naturalist during select hours, the incredible scenery will leave you amazed as you take in the knobby landscape that surrounds Bernheim and even catch sight of Louisville on a clear day. The fire tower is only open when our volunteer naturalists are available, which will be every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through Thursday, Nov. 9. Check out our calendar for a full list of fire tower days and hours.
