Spring Wildflower Hike

A great way to learn about spring wildflowers is to follow their progression from bud to blossom over several weeks. Each stroll will focus on wildflowers adaptations, ecology, folklore, and history. Spring wildflowers don’t last long, so make sure to see them while you can!

Bernheim Backroads

Early spring is a wonderful time to explore Bernheim’s Backcountry. This five- hour driving tour allows you to journey deep into Bernheim’s natural forest from the warmth and comfort of a passenger van. Frequent stops are made for exploring with a team of trained naturalists, so there will be opportunities to discover and observe things up close. Bring a sack lunch and a beverage. We’ll be taking you to a special spot for our lunch break.

Guided Millennium Trail Half Hike

June 6 @ 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

Take a hike – a long hike to celebrate National Trail Days! Bernheim Volunteer Naturalists will be your guides on half of the 13.75 mile Millennium Trail. This is a rigorous hike; experienced hikers only please. Bring a bag lunch, snacks and plenty of water. Registration and payment are due by 4 p.m. on the day prior to the start of the program; call (502) 955-8512. $5 per car environmental impact fee Non-members, Members FREE.
