Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest is located 20 minutes south of Louisville; take Exit 112 from I-65. Head east for approximately one mile on HWY 245 (KY S.R. 245/Clermont Road); the entrance is on the right-hand side of the road.
Once inside Bernheim, we recommend beginning your nature outing at the Visitor Center where you can pick up a map and plan your day with help from our friendly and knowledgeable Visitor Services staff.

DIRECTIONS FROM LOUISVILLE:
Travel south on I-65; take Exit 112. Head east for approximately one mile on HWY 245 (KY S.R. 245/Clermont Road); Bernheim’s main entrance is on the right-hand side of the road.
DIRECTIONS FROM BARDSTOWN:
Travel west approximately 15 miles on HWY 245 (KY S.R. 245/Clermont Road) from Bardstown. Bernheim’s main entrance is on the left-hand side of the road.
DIRECTIONS FROM ELIZABETHTOWN:
Travel north on I-65; take Exit 112. Turn east onto HWY 245 (KY S.R. 245/Clermont Road). Head east for approximately one mile on HWY 245 (KY S.R. 245/Clermont Road); the entrance is on the right-hand side of the road.
DIRECTIONS FROM LEXINGTON:
Travel west on Bluegrass Parkway; take Exit 25 (U.S. 150, towards Springfield/Bardstown) and turn right. Turn right again onto HWY 245 (KY S.R. 245/Clermont Road) and travel approximately 18 miles to Bernheim’s main entrance on the left-hand side of the road.
