Memorial Gift

A memorial gift to Bernheim is a wonderful tribute to someone who has passed away.  There are several options to make this meaningful gift.

Memorial Contribution

Simply send your gift to the address below along with a note that contains:
(1) the name of the person who has passed;
(2) person’s name and mailing address who should receive the acknowledgement from Bernheim.
If you prefer to make your gift over the phone with a credit card, please call (502) 955-8512, ext. 254 and ask for Margaret. Bernheim will send a note to the person you requested that says you made a memorial gift.  Please note we do not include the amount of your gift in this acknowledgement note. Your name will be listed in Bernheim’s quarterly newsletter the forest echo.

Memorial Bench

Memorial Bench

Memorial Bench overlooking Lake Nevin on a fall morning.

As a way to connect with nature and Bernheim, you get a Teak wood bench that will grace the Bernheim landscape. There will be a plaque placed on the bench. The benches last at least 10 years, and most of them exceed that length of time. The Bernheim staff will work with you on the location of your bench. Please see the arboretum map for the layout of Bernheim. We suggest that you make a visit on your own to find at least two different locations, and then check back with our staff who will ensure that the bench will work at that site. The average time for a bench to be placed from when it is ordered is six weeks. The cost of a Memorial Bench is $1,500. To order your bench, please email Margaret or call (502) 955-8512, ext254.

Memorial Tree

Bernheim has a Memorial Tree program that allows you to select an existing tree as a way to remember your loved one. The cost of an existing tree is $1,000. To order your tree and more information, please email Margaret or call (502) 955-8512, ext254.
