Volunteer Work Day – Invasive Species Removal

Invasive Species are  not native plant species that grow rapidly and cause severe harm to Bernheim’s forest. We need help in keeping these pests at bay. On Wednesday, April 16, 9:00 a.m., we will meet at the Visitor Center and head into the forest to pull as many of these plants as possible. It’s a great way to get out in nature, see some areas of Bernheim you may not usually experience, and provide a crucial service for our habitat.…

Honeybee Installation

Join us Saturday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. at our Education Center for a honeybee installation! From the safety of our Wildlife Viewing Room, watch as the Bernheim Beekeepers welcome a package of 10,000 buzzing pollinators to their new home. Volunteer beekeepers Bernie Roach, Mac Howard, and Helen Fenske will demonstrate the installation process, explain steps and beekeeping tools along the way, and answer questions during and following the presentation. Get Out and Hike: Bernheim Family Hiking Series

Celebrate Arbor Day and the love of trees with Bernheim! Join us today for our annual Arbor-Day-Adopt a Tree. Come out and choose a tree to plant in your landscape to enjoy for years to come. Speak with knowledgeable horticulturists about proper planting techniques and tree care. Help us to increase the canopy of our surrounding community and celebrate the coming of a new spring season! Pollywog Play Parties: Little Green Thumbs
