Welcome Fall Overnight at Earth Measure

As the sizzling of summer gives way to autumn, the season of the fallen leaves, ripe persimmons, and cooler temperatures, Bernheim Volunteer Naturalists will help you celebrate the gifts of both seasons. SONICBernheim is a site-specific lecture/performance series exploring the relationships between sound, music, and nature. Full “Harvest” Moon Hike & Lunar Eclipse

Laser Guided Star Tour

Each night, fascinating stories are playing out across the heavens. Come watch constellations of scorpions, bears, dolphins and mythological characters come alive as an interpreter shares ancient dreams and laser beams in Bernheim’s night sky. No pets allowed. Pollywog Play Parties: Nature’s Wonder of Changing Color

The autumn trees are filled with red, orange, yellow and green. Pollywogs investigate seasonal changes by collecting leaves and making rubbings, playing in fresh leaf piles, creating foliage friends, and much more. Pollywog Play Parties combine music, art, language and outside play to encourage children (5 and under) and their families to learn about nature. Every Pollywog Play Party includes a song and story circle, nature-based explorations, and a variety of arts and crafts projects, science investigations, role playing challenges…

Hike of the Day – ECO Kids Sunday

October 4 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a guided hike led by a Bernheim Volunteer Naturalist. These hikes will weave through the natural history of Bernheim and share some secrets hidden within the trees. This short hike will last 45-60 minutes. Meet at the Visitor Center at 2:00 p.m. The ECO Kids Sunday hikes will take place on the first Sunday of each month. Guided hike is free after weekend non-member environmental impact fee of $5 per car.
