Amy May brings a new fitness opportunity to Bernheim with Yogalates, a six-week series that combines yoga and Pilates into one rewarding workout. Hosted at the Visitor Center, classes will take place Tuesday evenings, August 13 through September 17, from 6:00-6:45 p.m.
The first 30 minutes of classes focus on strengthening and toning the core muscles, therefore improving posture, flexibility, and range of motion. Classes conclude with a 15-minute gentle yoga stretch, bringing the body and mind into focus by using breath with movement to relax.
Cost is $45 for Bernheim members and $60 for non-members.
Participants must be able to get on and off the floor with ease, and are asked to bring a thick yoga mat to each class.
Class size is limited. Registration and payment is due prior to the first attended class. Students can join this series any time prior to the second class, but program fees will not be pro-rated.
