Bernheim is pleased to welcome painter and installation artist, Eileen Neff, who arrived in May and will continue her stay through June. While here, she will explore the natural geography and plant life in the region.  “…Having formally studied painting before photography, and poetry before painting, I consider the ideas and boundaries between disciplines to be more fluid than not.”

Neff is from Philadelphia, PA.  She has numerous museum and gallery exhibitions, is a recipient of many grants, and is represented in numerous collections. She has an M.F.A. Painting from Tyler School of Art, a B.F.A. in Painting, Philadelphia College of Art, and a B.A. English Literature, Temple University.

Neff was recently awarded a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship. Chosen from a group of nearly 3,000 applicants in the Foundation’s ninety-second competition, Neff was one of eleven photographers selected from across the United States and Canada.

We look forward to seeing her Bernheim inspired work!
